Lockheed Martin is advancing generative AI, multi-domain autonomy and wildfire response partnerships while prepping Orion for Artemis II.
Lockheed Martin announced a cascade of program and partnership updates, highlighting advances in generative AI, multi-domain autonomy and space readiness.
On Jan. 26, the company joined PG&E, Salesforce and Wells Fargo to launch EMBERPOINT™, a public-private initiative aimed at transforming wildfire prevention, detection and response through integrated data and operational workflows.
Earlier in January, Lockheed Martin demonstrated next-generation multi-domain autonomy, showcasing interoperable autonomy software designed to coordinate operations across air, land, sea, space and cyber domains.
The firm is also integrating Google AI into its AI Factory ecosystem to accelerate generative AI for national security use cases and operational decision support. Operationally proven AI-powered counter-UAS systems were highlighted as examples of fielded capabilities.
In space, the Orion spacecraft is being prepped for Artemis II, while Skunk Works continues work on experimental platforms such as the X-59.
Lockheed Martin emphasized its workforce—more than 121,000 employees, with veterans, reservists and military spouses accounting for over one-fifth—and framed these efforts around resilience, safety and ethically engineered technology.
